The ink on Connecticut Governor Dannel Malloy’s sanctuary city executive order is barely even dry and we are already seeing the ramifications of the state’s sanctuary policy.
Douglas Hus-Flores, a 19-year-old Guatemalan living in the US illegally, was arrested by ICE agents hours before he was scheduled to appear before an immigration judge.
He admitted to sexually abusing a 3-year-old girl.
NBCNewYork.com admitted that Flores was an “undocumented” alien, but prefaced that by saying he entered the United States illegally to seek “political asylum.”
The Stamford Advocate article’s URL shows that the original headline was “Stamford teen accused of sexually assaulting child.” It was edited after the fact to feature the fact that Flores is in the country illegally.
Before the headline was changed, the article would have made no mention of Flores’ immigration status whatsoever.
How many people read that original CT Post headline and had no idea the perpetrator was in the country illegally?
